Job Description

Major responsibilities include: 

  • Ensures high quality service to all guests by preparing all meals accurately and efficiently.
  • Responsible for approved safe operation and maintenance of all kitchen equipment.
  • Basic understanding of different chemical solution uses and proper labeling.
  • Understands/executes proper kitchen sanitation and safety procedures.
  • Communicates well with fellow teammates and Kitchen Manager. Demonstrates proper communication in a timely manner.
  • Works with BOH and FOH crews to ensure a remarkably clean and sanitary environment.
  • Supports, promotes, and practices all Flatbread policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates the importance of the food cost, portion sizes, and proper temperatures. Follows all recipes.
  • Prepares quality products following exact company specifications from the BOH builds sheets and manuals.
  • Quality and consistency is a must.
  • Assists with putting away orders as a team including, but not limited to proper rotation, temperatures,
  • labeling or “Day Dot”, and storage of all products.
  • Exhibits respect for others with employees, vendors, and managers.
  • Responsible for knowing the proper station temperatures, set up/break down and maintaining a clean work area at all time following the proper sanitation methods.
  • Utilizes proper utensils at all time to eliminate cross contamination and adhere to proper flavor profile.
  • Ability to remain highly organized in a high volume environment.
  • Maintains a strong sense of urgency throughout the shift.
  • Proper hygiene and attire is required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year of food preparation experience required
  • Experience with quantity food preparation preferred
  • Demonstrate cooking skills and ability to follow established menus and recipes
  • Must have a Food Service Sanitation Certificate
