Job Description
-
Manages shift staffing, and makes recommendations for increasing or reducing overall restaurant staff based on assessment of sales trends.

Professionally engages guest in order to build strong relationships.

Supervises and directs the work of all hourly employees during each shift.

Conducts new hire orientations, and employee training and development.
-
Evaluates employee performance, conducts performance evaluations, counsels and disciplines employees.
-
Makes recommendations for employee pay increases and promotions.
-
Monitors and verifies the hours worked by employees and approves payroll.

Recommends or carries out employee discipline and terminations for poor performance, misconduct, or other reasons.

Maintains proper inventory levels to support quality standards and freshness; recommends adjustments in pars.

Responsible for all cash handling.

Handles and resolves guest and employee complaints and grievances.

Communicates guest and employee issues to the General Manager or Regional Manager representative as appropriate and necessary.

Evaluates and maintains consistent execution of Flatbread service and food quality standards. Demonstrates, promotes, and develops the company culture.

Demonstrates a complete and current understanding of Flatbread products, training programs, and financial results, by adhering to all operating standards and procedures.

Maintains food and beverage standards by performing daily quality checks of all FCO products.

Assists in implementing sales plans and controls to meet or exceed financial goals.

Maintains a current knowledge and compliance with all food safety and sanitation standards to ensure a safe, remarkably clean, and friendly atmosphere for our guests and employees.

Maintains legal compliance in all areas, which would include, but are not limited to, employment law, guest relations, and alcohol service.

Oversees responsible alcohol service at all times.

Maintains personal professionalism and holds staff accountable for professional behavior.

Demonstrates effective, professional communication at all times. Delivers all communication with a “Respect for Others” mentality.

Maintains a strong sense of urgency.

Maintains proper hygiene and wears proper attire and ensures that other employees are doing the same.

Supports, promotes, and practices all of Flatbread policies and procedures.

Completes duties or tasks that may be assigned by the General Manager.
Requirements
-
Two-year college degree and/or two years management or restaurant industry experience.
-
Must be of legal age according to State regulations to serve alcohol.
-
Strong organizational and financial skills including knowledge of PC programs to support tasks relating to these skills.

Excellent written and interpersonal communication, problem solving, and time management skills.
-
Knowledge of workplace safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures and practices.
-
Any applicable health and/or alcohol compliance card required by city or local agency.
-
Food Handlers and TIPS Certification as required by state and local agencies
